About Harrow: the Hill, the town centre and neighbourhood life

Find your bearings in Harrow, from the historic Hill to busy shopping streets, Headstone and the surrounding neighbourhoods.

Two sides of Harrow, close together

Harrow town centre brings shops, places to eat and everyday services together around St Anns Road, Station Road and College Road. Harrow-on-the-Hill station and the bus station make this a useful starting point for a first visit or a day of local errands.

The historic Hill has a different pace, with older buildings, steep streets and St Mary's Church above the surrounding neighbourhoods. Allow for the climb when planning a walk between the shopping centre and the Hill, particularly if steps or gradients affect your route.

Look beyond the familiar skyline

St Mary's is a Grade I listed church and a distinctive Harrow landmark. Its own history and visiting information offer a way to get to know the Hill beyond the view of the spire.

Headstone Manor & Museum tells another part of Harrow's story through its historic buildings and collections. It is a separate destination at Pinner View, rather than a stop on the Hill itself. Pair a museum visit with time in the surrounding recreation ground.

Choose the neighbourhood that suits your errand

North Harrow, West Harrow, South Harrow, Wealdstone and Rayners Lane each have local shops and services of their own. Kenton, Headstone and Harrow Weald add further options when you need a specialist or a business close to home.

Use the directory's area and service filters to narrow the search, then check the address and coverage on the listing. This directory focuses on Harrow and nearby neighbourhoods; a venue elsewhere in the borough may need a separate journey.
